The Detectives - Lise
Being 4'11" tall and weighing 7 stone has it's advantages when you're really 19 years old, especially when coupled with a capable brain and attitude that means you can easily pass yourself off as 13 or 14. Looking 13 when you have the mind of an adult is an incredible asset when working in an undercover role
Like others, Lise started working in our Think 21 programme when 16 and quickly graduated to other investigative roles. The power of appearing above any suspicion when undercover has resulted, on one case, in more than £100,000 being returned to it's rightful owner for one client and on another case in a fraudster being ordered by the High Court to close their company and make reparation on the strength of her evidence.
Being short and small means you have to have a sense of humour, especially when test purchasing alcohol purchases. Far from being refused sale of alcohol, Lise faced the indignation of one sharp till assistant refusing to sell her aspirin - because she thought she did not look 12 years old. Bad enough having to report that back, made worse when venting her indignation outside the store and forgetting she was still wearing a bodyworn audio recorder; and made even worse when work colleagues play it back
As a result of her work Lise has appeared on the BBC 6 O'Clock News and in various local papers; she is also featured in the August issue of Sugar magazine
